Taryn graduated from the University of Otago in 2017 and has been practising general dentistry in Whanganui since. She was brought up in a multicultural society in Malaysia and is fluent in English and Mandarin. Taryn is passionate about her work in all aspects of dentistry. She strives to provide the best care that she can by helping people to explore and achieve their oral health goals and creating smiles. She believes that dentistry should be painless and always goes an extra mile to make people feel at ease and comfortable during their dental visits. Over the past few years of practice, Taryn has continued to devote her time to attending extra courses and training to keep up with her goal of delivering high quality, modern dentistry. When Taryn is not at work, she spends time building fitness, getting outdoors, and exploring the world.

Originally from Wellington, Gawin gained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Otago and has been working in private practice in Gisborne for the past four years. There, he practiced all aspects of general dentistry from oral surgery to dentures. Gawin believes that the key to good, long-lasting oral health is based on a team effort from the dentist and patient. He is committed to keeping up to date with the latest developments in dentistry and strives for the gold standard in treatment. Outside of work, Gawin enjoys hikes, trying new foods and is always looking for interesting hobbies.

Dr Mahitha Veerepalli, principal dentist, completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2007 and New Zealand dental registration examination (NZDREX) procedure in 2009. She enjoys every aspect of general dentistry and has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry. Maintaining the highest levels of patient care, accreditation and education to stay abreast of the latest techniques in dentistry, Mahitha can ensure that every patient has a positive experience. After enjoying the relaxed lifestyle in Bay of Plenty for more than four years Mahitha and her husband Sarath purchased Dentist @ Parkside practice in Hawke’s Bay in 2014 and have not looked back. They could not as they have been too busy in steering the practice through an extensive re-development.

I moved to Hawke’s Bay in 2012 and began working at Dentist@Parkside in 2016. I have worked as a Dental Assistant, Receptionist and Practice Manager in my time here and enjoy all aspects of the job. Before starting here I worked for almost 4 years at another surgery and in this time have gained a lot of experience in patient care and the day to day responsibilities of my work. I enjoy working with patients and taking the time to make sure they feel comfortable with us and leave having had a positive dental experience. In my free time I like learning new skills like quilting and sewing, I have also been taking piano lessons for 2 years.

Amruta has completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Health) in 2016 from Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology, Rotorua. She has been working as a Dental Assistant for past 2 years. Her goal for future is to settle down in New Zealand and study further. She loves going for long drives and short walks. Currently she is trying her hand on crocheting.

I am a qualified Dental Therapist and have worked with children for many years, I decided to have a change in dentistry and now work mainly with adults as a Dental Assistant. I have worked with Dentist @ Parkside for 4 years and continue to be passionate about improving oral health in the community. I love travel, people, food and also interior design. I have 2 beautiful dogs which I enjoy walking in my leisure time.
